A group of local businessmen and Crappie Anglers have joined together to promote Crappie
fishing in the State of Mississippi on Mississippi Lakes for the coming 2005 season.  The
group will be known as Southern Crappie Association, SCA for short.

Lakes being considered for the 2005 season are Pickwick Lake, Ross Barnett Reservior,
Sardis Lake, Arkabutla, Enid, Grenada and Tunica Lakes.

Tournament dates have not been set at this time but according to Joe Miller, President of
SCA tournaments should begin in March with at least 1 tournament per month through the
season.

The tournaments will guarantee a payback of $2000 regardless of entries with a  1st Place
Prize of $1,000, 2nd Place $500, 3rd Place $300 and 4th Place $200.  Entry fee for the
tournament will be $150 per team and a Grand Classic will be held at a Mississippi Lake
with a guaranteed $10,000 payback.
